After being in the physical therapy world for some time I've noticed how much can be dictated by the insurance companies. When a patient needs physical therapy, it's important that they receive it in a timely manner. Unfortunately, insurance issues can sometimes get in the way of this necessary treatment. Whether it's a denial of coverage or a delay in authorization, these roadblocks can be frustrating and detrimental to a patient's recovery. It's important for healthcare providers and insurance companies to work together to ensure that patients get the care they need without unnecessary delays or obstacles. I have also seen multiple patient who would like to continue to build and gain traction toward larger goals that they set throughout therapy after some pain has started to decrease get cutoff from therapy.
